Secured Cash on Delivery Policy
Cash on Delivery (COD) is available as an additional payment facility on eligible Saporigo India orders. Because COD requires additional payment collection, processing, reconciliation and fulfilment handling, an applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee may be payable online before a COD order is confirmed.
Why Does Saporigo Charge for COD?
We understand that some customers prefer Cash on Delivery because they are more comfortable paying the main merchandise amount when the shipment reaches them.
We respect that preference. However, COD involves additional operational work compared with a normal prepaid order, including payment collection, reconciliation, order confirmation, fulfilment handling and increased return-to-origin (RTO) exposure when a shipment is not accepted.
Instead of adding these COD-related costs into the prices paid by every customer, Saporigo may charge a separately disclosed COD Processing & Handling Fee only when a customer chooses the COD facility on an eligible order.
This keeps the pricing model more transparent and avoids making prepaid customers indirectly bear the additional cost associated specifically with COD transactions.
How Secured COD Works
- Add an eligible product to your cart and complete your delivery details.
- If the order qualifies for Secured COD, the COD payment option will appear during checkout.
- The applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee will be clearly displayed before the COD order is confirmed.
- Pay only the displayed COD confirmation/handling fee online.
- After successful confirmation, the merchandise amount shown as Payable on Delivery remains payable when the shipment is delivered.
Example of a Secured COD Order
The amount shown above as the COD fee is only an illustration. The actual COD Processing & Handling Fee applicable to your order will be shown at checkout before you proceed.
The COD fee is separate from the merchandise price and is not deducted from the amount payable on delivery.
COD Fee Structure
Saporigo does not publish a fixed public COD fee table or internal fee slabs. The applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee may vary based on factors such as order value, product category, shipment weight, fulfilment requirements, delivery conditions and other operational considerations.
The applicable fee, if any, will always be displayed at checkout before the customer confirms the COD order.
Saporigo may revise its internal COD fee calculation or eligibility rules from time to time. The amount displayed at checkout at the time the order is placed will apply to that order.
COD Eligibility
COD is not guaranteed for every product or every order.
Availability may depend on factors including:
- Product or product category
- Order or merchandise value
- Shipment weight or size
- Delivery PIN code
- Courier or logistics serviceability
- Fulfilment requirements
- Operational or risk controls
If COD is not available for an order, the customer can complete the purchase using one of the available prepaid payment methods.
Heavy, Bulky & Fitness Products
Certain heavy, bulky, high-value or selected Fitness Lab products may be offered on a Prepaid Only basis.
COD eligibility may be restricted because of shipment weight, logistics requirements, special handling, order value or delivery conditions.
Paying a COD fee does not independently make a product eligible for COD. If COD is available for that particular product and delivery address, it will automatically appear during checkout.
COD Confirmation & Order Status
When a customer selects Secured COD, Saporigo may first create the main merchandise order and then request payment of the applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee.
Until this fee is successfully paid, the COD order may remain in an Awaiting COD Confirmation, Pending or On Hold status and may not be dispatched.
Once the required confirmation fee has been successfully received, the COD order may proceed for fulfilment, subject to stock, serviceability and other applicable checks.
COD Processing & Handling Fee Refunds
The COD Processing & Handling Fee is a separate charge associated with providing and processing the COD facility.
Once a COD order has been successfully confirmed and the applicable processing has begun, the COD fee is generally non-refundable, subject to the circumstances of the order and applicable law.
This may include situations where the customer later changes their mind, refuses an otherwise correctly supplied shipment, or the shipment is returned because of circumstances attributable to the customer.
Product returns, replacements and product refunds remain governed by Saporigo’s applicable Return & Refund Policy.
Order Refusal, Failed Delivery & RTO
Customers should place COD orders only when they genuinely intend to accept the shipment.
Once an order is processed and dispatched, real fulfilment resources are involved, including packaging, warehouse handling, transportation, delivery attempts and, where applicable, return-to-origin logistics.
An unjustified refusal or non-acceptance of a COD shipment can therefore create additional operational costs.
Repeated COD refusal, misuse, incorrect delivery information or repeated non-acceptance may result in COD availability being restricted for future orders where appropriate.
This does not affect a customer’s rights in relation to a genuinely defective, incorrect or otherwise eligible product issue under the applicable Return & Refund Policy and consumer law.
Prepaid Orders
Customers who do not wish to pay an applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee may select one of the available prepaid payment methods at checkout.
Depending on the payment options available at the time, prepaid methods may include UPI, credit/debit cards, NetBanking or other supported online payment methods.
Why Not Include COD Costs in Every Product?
Not every customer uses COD.
Saporigo therefore prefers to keep COD-related processing costs separate rather than automatically building them into the price paid by customers who choose prepaid payment methods.
Where a COD fee applies, it is displayed separately before the customer confirms the COD order.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why am I being asked to pay online if I selected Cash on Delivery?
Only the applicable COD Processing & Handling Fee is being paid online. The merchandise amount displayed as Payable on Delivery remains payable at delivery.
I prefer COD because I do not want to prepay the full product value. Can I still use COD?
Yes, where the order is eligible for Secured COD. You pay only the applicable COD confirmation/handling fee online, while the merchandise value remains payable on delivery.
Why is COD not available for my Fitness Lab or gym product?
Selected heavy, bulky, high-value or special-handling products may be Prepaid Only because of logistics, shipment weight, order value, category or serviceability restrictions. If COD is eligible for that specific order, it will automatically appear at checkout.
Does Saporigo publish its COD fee slabs?
No. Internal COD fee tiers or calculation rules are not publicly published. The exact applicable fee will be shown at checkout before the customer confirms the order.
Does paying the COD fee reduce the amount payable on delivery?
No. The COD Processing & Handling Fee is a separate service charge. The merchandise amount shown as Payable on Delivery remains payable at delivery.
What if Saporigo cannot fulfil my confirmed COD order?
If Saporigo is unable to fulfil or dispatch the order, the applicable fee will be handled appropriately, including refund where applicable.
What if there is a genuine problem with the product after delivery?
Genuine product issues remain governed by the applicable Saporigo Return, Replacement and Refund Policy. This COD Policy does not remove any consumer right that applies under law.
